The CA2 features a slimline case with the front panel and controls machined from
solid aircraft-grade alloy. Easy turn controls and soft action buttons continue ATC’s
tradition of total hand-built quality and durability.
Capable of driving cables up to 50 metres in length it makes an ideal choice for active systems. Circuitry has been designed specifically to avoid phase distorting ICs in the signal path, making full use of discrete component gain blocks.
The input stage features a dual long tail pair of complementary transistors with cascoded junction FETs providing constant collector voltage. Output of the current mirrors is buffered by a pair of complementary Darlingtons.
There are separate power supplies for each channel, plus a digital input control. An optional close cartridge matching RRIA phono board is also available. The CA2 can be operated either from the front control panel or via its ‘allfunction’ remote. It offers five line level unbalanced RCA style inputs, while a separate tape loop is included with the monitor option selected by a single push button.
