The Magic Shop goes ATC & Receives 2 Grammy Nominations

The Magic Shop staff is proud to announce the installation of ATC (Acoustic Transducer Company) studio monitors. We have replaced our large studio Tannoy FSMs with a pair of new ATC SCM200 speakers. ATC's are widely accepted as the new standard for premiere speaker systems around the world.

A pair of ATC SCM20 near field monitors now sit firmly in place of the Genelecs that once inhabited the control room upstairs and The Blue Room (Restoration Suite) downstairs. For those who can't live without them, we will keep them in storage; but, I can assure you one listen to the ATC's and you'll never want to go back.

Many thanks to ATC's Ben Lilly for flying out to New York to help with the installation and tuning of the room. Upon his suggestions we've made a few minor accoustical changes to the control room, better improving the quality of the room's frequency response by addressing minor modal fluctuations. No need to worry though, the room has retained its characteristic sound.
